AL500
MTC Wesgo offers a variety of Alumina ceramic and manufactures its own AL500 material (we do not sell raw material). Our engineers will precisely match our materials to ensure high quality reliable ceramic components.
This 94% Alumina has an excellent combination of mechanical thermal, electrical, and chemical properties. Featuring high mechanical strength and hardness, low thermal expansion, high volume resistivity, it is resistant to chemical attack and abrasion. AL500 is excellent for products that are to be metallized as it will readily accept moly-manganese metalizing for high temperature brazing of assemblies.
This is a dense, non porous, vacuum tight material which makes it excellent for manufacturing products such as pressure sensors for fluid flow measurement, and barrier coatings for sputtering targets, electron tube components and laser components.
Products made from AL500 can be lapped to very tight tolerances or can be produced using Isostatic or dry pressing and can be manufactured in prototype, batch or volume production.
